Forgetting Brandon Marshall: A New Era in Jets Football Begins Thursday

The New York Jets went all-in before the 2015 season and as we all know, were this close to making the playoffs:

Then, 2016 happened. The Jets found themselves with a roster of big names and big contracts, but little results to show for it and they are now poised to pick 6th overall in Thursday’s draft.  The Jets are now in full rebuild mode and will most likely spend the next 2-3 years in NFL purgatory. HOWEVA, when done correctly, a rebuild can be almost as much fun as a playoff run…almost. Seeing the future develop in front of your very eyes is a pleasant sight to see, as we saw with guys such as Quincy Enunwa, Robby Anderson, Bilal Powell, Leonard Williams, Wesley Johnson, and even Bryce Petty getting better week by week.

Jets off season plans and draft picks

As a die hard Jets fan, I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting off-season….

When the fuck is it not? There are a lot of old men on our team eating up salary cap this year and with Todd Bowles restructuring the Jets staff and emphasizing that he wants to bring in teachers I believe this is our best opportunity.

Before we get into who we should draft let’s figure out where all this wasted money is going and I’ll also include who I think is worthy to join Gang Green.

1. Ryan Clady: LT

This guy needs to go, period. The guy is getting 10 million at the age of 31. Fitzpatrick or whoever is back there shouldn’t  be getting fucking touched once for that kind of dough. Realistically the guy started 8 games and had a season ending shoulder injury… Prone to injury in the past…. Bye Felicia.
