Lonzo Ball, star freshman out of UCLA, is averaging 15 points and 8 assists per game.  He is ranked second nationally in assists and has taken the nation by storm with his acrobatic dunks and LeBron-esq passing ability.  DraftExpress currently has Ball slotted as being the number two overall pick in their most recent mock draft. Lonzo attended Chino Hills high school in CA, where his two brothers, LeAngelo and LaMelo currently attend.  At Chino Hills, Lonzo made a name for himself by averaging 23 points, 9 assists, 9 rebounds and 4.7 steals per game.  LeAngelo is expected to attend UCLA as a freshman in the fall of 2017 and younger brother LaMelo Ball expected in 2019.  In high school, Lonzo was also recognized as the Male Athlete of the Year by MaxPreps.  Sources say that Lonzo could be the most unique point guard since John Wall.

Lonzo’s ability on the basketball court is not the only thing that he has going for him. He has a father that has branded him, and younger brothers LeAngelo and LeMelo as the greatest thing that this earth has seen. “We’ve got a plan, and everything’s going accordingly,” he said. “They were born to go pro. I told them, ‘Somebody has to be better than Michael Jordan. Why not you?'”  Wait – it gets better. On Christmas day, Mr. Ball had the three boys work out at the gym at their home before going to play 1 on 1 and multiple games of H-O-R-S-E.  Upon finishing this, they were then able to open up presents.  When asked about the Christmas day shenanigans, Dad responded with – “We know everybody else takes a break, and when they take a break, we jump another step in front of them,” he told SLAM magazine. “This allows us to be undefeated.”

If you don’t believe me, check out the video of Christmas day at the Ball household.  You’ll also find some of the presents given to the three boys were their own family clothing line  BIG BALLER BRAND  Feel like buying some clothes to support an 18, 17 and 15 year old kid?  Here is the link – unreal!!

Whether you want to take Mr. Ball as a pompous asshole or a savage is entirely up to you. The guy has no problem stating that his kids are all going to be pro’s and that they have the ability to be better than Jordan.  It’s very early, but Lonzo in my opinion has the highest cieling.  His jump is unique but his size, speed and passing will translate at the next level.  Brothers LeAngelo and LaMelo are still young but need to grow.  Don’t count them out though – last year LeAngelo scored 72 points in a high school game.  Like father, like son, LeMelo was caught last week cocky as ever pulling up from midcourt – check it out

All I know is that I am excited to watch these three grow and continue to see Poppa Ball grow as well.
